Strengthening budget credibility through external audits – Webinar series

DPIDG/UNDESA and the International Budget Partnership (IBP) in collaboration with Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and partners are organizing a webinar series (February 1, 8, 15 and April 11, 2024, 8:30 to 10:00 AM EST) to enable peer learning on the various ways in which SAIs may assess and address budget credibility. The series aims to create a platform where SAIs and other stakeholders can share knowledge and experiences on budget credibility, and discuss practical ways to advance this work.

The webinars delve into the contents of “Strengthening Budget Credibility through External Audits: An Auditor’s Handbook” which provides a practical overview of existing and potential audit work that can contribute to improving budget credibility and aims to support SAIs in enhancing their analyses of the credibility of government budgets.
