Renaming of the WGFMRR to WGFES
The INTOSAI Working Group on Financial Modernization and Regulatory Reform (WGFMRR) recently approved a name change through a majority vote of its members to the Working Group on Financial and Economic Stability (WGFES). The WGFES is chaired by the United States of America and remains open to new members that seek to share knowledge on monitoring and enhancing financial and economic stability. Please note the new contact for this working group:

The new name was developed through a survey and ongoing discussion with members in 2022–2023 with the goals of better reflecting the evolving focus of the working group on financial stability and appealing to a broader range of SAIs. The working group continues its mission to monitor and share information on reforms in the banking sector, but has expanded its scope to include additional issues that affect financial and economic stability, such as climate change risks, cybersecurity, and small-enterprise financing.
