Meeting between the INTOSAI Secretary General and the INTOSAI Vice-Chair
On 9 February, INTOSAI Secretary General Margit Kraker met with the President of the SAI of Egypt and Vice-Chair of INTOSAI, Counsellor Hesham Badawy, in Cairo. This meeting was held in preparation of the next INTOSAI Congress (INCOSAI) 2025 to be hosted by the SAI of Egypt.
In the framework of this meeting it was agreed that the SAI of Egypt and the INTOSAI General Secretariat would engage in a close cooperation to prepare the next INCOSAI. Strong consensus was also reached on the importance of implementing the organizational priorities of the INTOSAI Strategic Plan 2023–2028: advocating for and supporting SAI independence, supporting the contribution of SAIs to the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), supporting SAI resilience, promoting equality and inclusion as well as enhancing strategic partnerships.
